3 things you probably didn’t know about video marketing…
If you’re one of those people who are still skeptical about video marketing, you could be missing out on the huge benefits it brings to your organisation. I’m probably a slow adopter as I have only just recently started producing and posting informative videos on YouTube.
I have been wanting to produce videos for a long time. The challenge of hiring a recording studio, graphic designer, film editor, simply put me off the idea. Until I recently discovered a couple of tools on my iPhone and played around with Canva and within less than one hour, I had produced a video.
So I realised that my three misconceptions about video marketing were false.
- Too Expensive: You can produce a decent video using your smart phone and you can even purchase basic microphones to improve the sound quality. There are a range of copyright free music for your background theme music available too.
- Takes too long to produce: The Apps on your smartphone are fairly easy to use and have basic editing features too. This means you can work on your videos when you’re on the go.
- No one will watch it: By posting your videos in places like Vimeo and YouTube you are able to share links to your videos on a range of other social media platforms. People are more inclined to watch a short video than read a blog. You can repurpose a 60 second video as an Instagram Story, post it onto Facebook and LinkedIn.
It’s certainly worth giving it a try. Especially if you’re on a tight budget with limited time on your hand.
